Well this is my four page narrative for NOBROW. The theme was Exclusion, and I used orange and blue as a limited colour palette. The Story starts with the Protagonist Jess sad at school and feeling pretty crap, after that she walks home with her cat Patches, and questions why she's the only one that suffers. The birds on the first page turning to paisley represent her moving in to a dream state. The second page is showing her asleep as a dream grows like a tree. After this point the colour is very limited, only showing Jess and Patches, this is to represent their Lucidity in the dream, as though they are actually taking part in a black and white comic. On the Third page, Jess is thrown in to an unknown setting of a dream, but is swept away in the story like you are in most dreams. The monitors show broken screens, and a few shots of a monster, as well as a small robocop reference. After that she is confronted and frightened by the monster, but is heroically saved by her cat patches. The final shot is of Patches asleep at the end of Jess' bed. I wanted the last page to seem very random, rapid, and confusing, this is to convey the flow of a dream before you wake up. The cover is a close up of part of the first page, i think this accurately conveys the feeling and flow of the book. I have also uploaded a greyscale version of the cover for use on e-book readers.
